I do have a show in October, please keep your eyes peeled for my mailers soon! In the mean time I decided to make a self promotional piece, and what better to paint but Julia Child! I have been watching videos of her online to get a better sense of her quirky-ness. May I recommend my favorite, although not really her, the SNL version of Julia Child with Dan Aykroyd, if you haven't seen it please watch!

This sketch is just her obviously, but the background will have her copper pots up on the wall! I will post more when I get further into my painting!

During the past couple of weeks I have been working on setting up my new apartment, and as I was I realized that not one piece of my furniture matched. Well years of college later, i'm not surprised. Most everything I own was given to me or I found carelessly on the side of the road. No matter, I decided to start painting each piece of furniture a unique, inspirational way. The first piece of furniture that I started working on was an end table for my bed. These are only work in progress pictures, but I think that I am almost done!

The next band that we saw, that I am definitely going to start following is Low Anthem.  This band was absolutely outstanding. With the beginning of every new song, a different instrument was being played. Low Anthem kept you mesmerized by their sound and they continued to blow me away thought out their whole set. If you have not heard of them please check them out, definitely worth it.

This is just a beautiful song, but they do have more energetic ones too!!

For the past couple of days I have been in the Catskills with my good friend Carla. We drove for many hours straight but finally made it to Woodstock, NY to see two of the best bands EVER!

The first band I will mention, is one that I have followed for awhile, and is Carla's pretend husband, Langhorne Slim. Slim himself really knows how to work a crowd with his outrageous energy. As soon as he starts playing, it feels like the room was lit on fire, people go nuts! Slim's music is very well crafted and inspires me. It is something that I will continue to follow with open ears!

This is one of my favorites songs my Langhorne Slim, but the quality of the video is not the best. Still sounds great though!

ahh this has been a crazy few weeks! I am still waiting for photos from my opening from the very talented, local Rochester photographer Gerry Szymanski, but I do have a couple that some of my friends took, enjoy!

The first couple images are of my merch table and of myself! The remaining couple of photos  are just random shots of only some of the people that came out to support me!! Thanks to everyone that came out, it meant a lot to me!
